“Olfacto-Politics: The Air as a Medium” is an exhibition that reveals the full scope of a multifaceted project by 2025 CCBT Artist Fellow Ueda Maki. Taking smell as a starting point to explore “air as a commons,” the project seeks to render invisible air both visible and experientially tangible.

Alongside documentation from the exhibition at the Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome, the show presents works developed from the research carried out over the course of the project.
