Using a special kit developed by the Museum, you will create a phenakistiscope—a nineteenth-century animation device. You will go home with a one-of-a-kind, original animation. No reservation is required; walk-in participation on the day is very welcome. Feel free to drop in during a spare moment before a screening you plan to attend, or when you take a break between viewing works
Date and Time: February 11 (Wednesday, national holiday), 2026, 13:30–17:00
Venue: 1F Studio, Tokyo Photographic Art Museum
For: Open to all (children of elementary school age and younger must be accompanied by an adult)
Capacity: Approx. 50 participants
How to Join: Please come directly to the venue during program hours on the day.
