Tomoko Sauvage has created Waterbowls, an electroacoustic instrument that harnesses the fluidity of water, and performs with this instrument in the field of experimental music. As the surrounding environment shifts, the character of the water changes in response. In her Waterbowls performances, water and sound are ceaselessly shaped by external conditions and the passage of time, opening onto an ever-changing sonic world.
