Guest programmers Yuan Goang-Ming, an internationally active video artist selected to represent Taiwan at the 2024 Venice Biennale, and Iwakiri Mio, a Taipei-based art writer and Taiwanese contemporary art researcher, will introduce the current state of video expression in Taiwan.
A program of short films by twelve artists, emerging and experienced, who have been attracting attention in recent years, including Yuan Goang-Ming’s Everyday Maneuver. The selection presents various video techniques that are used to reveal elements of contemporary Taiwan, such as daily life of its cities, the social and political climate, the folds of history, and postcolonial analysis.
