52PRO! was founded in Shimokitazawa in 2015 by artistic producer Daisuke Tsukahara with longtime collaborators active in the Japanese small-theater movement. While staging work at Honda Theater in Shimokitazawa, the company tours nationwide and—under the motto “From Shimokita to the World”—appears at international festivals and venues. In 2025 it developed a new work with Taiwanese actors, realizing a cross-border collaborative production. Drawing on history and memory, the company pursues cultural exchange and forward-looking artistic dialogue through theater.
