A musician, Ide Kensuke was a staff member at the Kichijoji Baus Theater in Tokyo, where he helped run events including the Bakuon Film Festival. In 2012, he began performing live as Kensuke Ide & His Mothership, and in 2015—after the Baus Theater was demolished—released the project’s debut album, Kensuke Ide & His Mothership.
