Combining the power of original abstract video works with action having a sense of mission, Makino Takashi has achieved high acclaim through presentations of his works at various locales worldwide. Memento Stella is presented as a screened work that is the fruition of his recent efforts in a project of the same title. Makino has created a universe of imagery that brings infinite depth to the screen by using digital editing to overlay footage from multiple films, many of which he shot while travelling. The result is a delicate, yet overwhelming vision formed through organic light, presented in high resolution but providing a sense of soft particles that act on the body and mind of the viewer to encourage continuous transposition.
