Makino Takashi was born in Tokyo in 1978 and currently lives in Kanagawa, where he works as a filmmaker. Makino explores films that merge with images from within the human body such as imagination and memories, producing distinctive abstract films that are extremely stratified and deepened. His films have been screened in over 100 cities worldwide, garnering awards at numerous international film festivals. In recent years, he has produced and presented cross-genre works including film, performance, and installations.
