Born 1966 in Fukushima. Was chosen at the prestigious PARCO art competition as one of the “20 promising photographers” in 1990, when he was still an undergraduate graphic design student at Tama Art University. He currently divides his time between being a photographer and an advertising art director. His most recent photo book Somewhere not Here was published in 2021, and a new one, documenting Fukushima, will be published by Steidl.
