Professor at Rikkyo University, and Executive Director of the Maison franco-japonaise. Author of a number of books, including The Call to Adventure: An Ethical Reading of Sartre (Jimbunshoin). He also translated several novels and essays, such as Philippe Forest’s Sarinagara (Hakusuisha) and Fernando Pessoa’s The Book of Disquiet (Heibonsha).
