YEBIZO MEETS Off-site Exhibition: FORMING SPHERES

2/3/2023 15:00-17:00

Tokyo Photographic Art Museum 1F Hall

At the opening ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, spherical “Kumi Ichimatsu” (checkered) patterns were displayed for 60 seconds as pixel images in the sky using drones. For this project, the artists translated the patterned spheres from that drone animation into sculptures, which they reconfigured into a new installation piece involving projected lights and shadows at the Center Square of Yebisu Garden Place. In this talk session, the artists will explain the concept behind their work, as well as the technologies used for its realization.
