XU Wei
Born 1995 in Jingzhou, China. Graduated from the animation department at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in 2017. Master’s degree candidate in the Department of Animation, Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Film and New Media, expected graduation in March 2022. University work The Dog in the Alley was selected for the China Independent Animation Film Forum and won various awards. Mouse and Prism, created in his first year of Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School was selected as an Excellent Student Work at the 18th International Animation Festival in Japan-HIROSHIMA 2020 and shown in the special screening section. The graduation work Before Dawn was awarded the Encouragement Award at Digicon6 Japan 2022.
