This work focuses on the changes that actors’ bodies undergo as a result of direction. The process whereby actors gain a grasp of their roles through script readings and rehearsals is perceived through repeated footage of the same scenes with different patterns or cutting. The film’s story is based on the theme of sharing the kinds of relationships and personal events among people that everyone has experienced. While telling the story alternately through the documentary portion leading up to the general movie filming, and through the narrative portion filmed in parts, Domains explores human emotions in a testing or verifying manner. This re-edited version of the 64-minute film of 2017 provides a full picture of the film’s undertaking with a new visual language.
