Regarding Susan Sontag [Japan Premiere]

Regarding Susan Sontag is a fascinating look at Susan SONTAG (1933-2004), a renowned writer, filmmaker, activist, and
versatile intellectual whose wide-ranging works on photography,
war, illness, and terrorism still resonate today. Drawing on the
words of the subject herself, interviews with those who knew
her best, and a wealth of archival footage, the film examines the
traces and wonders of Sontag’s dynamic legacy. Director Nancy
D. KATES crafts a delicate portrayal, incorporating glimpses into
Sontag’s private life and sexuality to paint a revealing picture of a
captivating subject-one who accepted her inner contradictions
and changing identities in living out a truly intrepid life.
