Okada Hiroko draws from her own experiences ̶love, marriage, childbirth, education̶and a realistic viewpoint to create artworks that address strong messages regarding contemporary society using various media such as videography, photography, paintings, installations, and performances. She has exhibited extensively in museums, galleries, and alternative spaces, both in Japan and abroad. She presides over the “Alternative Puppet Theatre GEKIDAN★SHIKI”.
