Born 1985 in Niigata. After graduating from Rissho University with a degree in Philosophy, he worked at Gaien Studio. Later moved to Nagasaki, where he familiarized with photography through exchange with Tomatsu Shomei and other photographers. Recent exhibitions include the solo show “Kaikoo” (Yuka Tsuruno Gallery, Tokyo, 2021), “VOCA Exhibition 2021” (The Ueno Royal Museum, Tokyo, 2021), “BEYOND 2020” (KunstenHuis, Amsterdam; IMA gallery, Tokyo; Galerie Nicolas Deman, Paris, 2017), the solo show “Into the Light” (Bookmarc, Tokyo, 2017), and “Kyotographie” (Mumeisha, Kyoto, 2015). Photo books and monographs include ground (lemon books, 2014), Rama Lama Ding Dong (Private Edition, 2015), Into the Light (T&M Projects, 2017) and Doors (Gallery Yamatani, 2020).
