Nakamori was born in Osaka Prefecture in 1953, and after graduating college taught swimming to the disabled. Employed as a coach at a sports center in Osaka, he became involved in the establishment of the Japanese Para-Swimming Federation. Since then, he has continued to pour his efforts into the inclusion of the disabled in sports. He currently serves as an Executive Assistant for President, Japanese Paralympic Committee, Japanese Para-Sports Association.
