IMURA Kimie

Born in 1932 in Tochigi, Japan. Imura is a Professor Emeritus at Meisei University, Director of the Fairy Art Museum in Kaneyama, Fukushima, and Honorary Director of the Utsunomiya Fairy Museum. A leading fairy scholar, she is also the translator of The Coming of the Fairies by Arthur Conan Doyle (Anzudo, 1998), which examined the phenomenon of the fairy photographs. She has written and translated many books. Recent publications include Sheikusupia no Kage no Kuni—We are Shadows. (The Land of Shakespeare’s Shadows–We Are Shadows.) (Level, 2017) and Shinyaku Tenpesuto (The Tempest – New Translation) (Level, 2016).
