Based in Bangkok, Sei is a writer, curator, and media activist. After working in Eastern Europe, she began film education activities in Myanmar in 2002, launching the FAMU Myanmar Program (under FAMU, the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague) and a scholarship program for Myanmar students to study at FAMU. Graduates of the program have been active in producing independent films and in starting the Wathann Film Festival.
