A long-standing core member of Japanese video art groups like VIDEOART CENTER Tokyo, SVP (Spread Videoart Project) and Golden Shit. Hattori is also currently engaged in a wide range of activities beyond artwork creation. In recent years, he has been invited to teach next-generation video art at elementary, junior high and senior high schools, and also works at Studio IDEMITSU, which is responsible for the preservation, archiving and distribution of video works by Idemitsu Mako.
