Born in 1983 in Cardiff (U.K.), Richards lives and works in Berlin and London. Recent exhibitions include “Requests and Antisongs” (ICA, London, 2016) and “British Art Show 8” (touring group exhibition, U.K., 2015–16). A recipient of the 2014 Ars Viva Prize for young artists and the 2012 Jarman Award for film and video, he was also shortlisted for the 2014 Turner Prize. He was selected to represent Cymru yn Fenis / Wales in Venice 2017 at the 57th Venice Biennale with the exhibition “Music for the Gift.”
