Jay Chung was born in 1976 in Wisconsin, U.S.A. Q Takeki Maeda was born in 1977 in Aichi, Japan. The Berlin-based artists began collaborating in 2002 and have been working together for over a decade. Their work critically and self-reflexively explores systems in art and the people involved in them. At the same time it depicts, with irony and humor, stories about peripheral matters surrounding the production and diffusion of art.
