Born in 1985 in Nanchang, China, LEI Lei
is one of China’s leading animators. His film
This Is Love won the Best Narrative Short
Award at the 2010 Ottawa International
Animation Festival. In 2013, his Recycled was selected for inclusion in the Annecy International Animated Film Festival,
and won the Grand Prix for non-narrative
shorts in the Holland Animation Film
Festival. In 2014, he was a member of the
juries of Animafest Zagreb and the Holland
Animation Film Festival, and also received a
grant from the Asian Cultural Council.
