The artists consider contemporary society, with its sense of entrapment, as a dystopia, and communicate their respective messages through their videos and plastic artworks. The exhibition features video works by artists from Japan and abroad, including Kugimachi Akira, who presents a sequence of primordial landscapes, and Mounir Fatmi, who questions through the theme of “books” the nature of media that have distorted our sense of memory.
